About Jeff Lin

Most of my work day is consumed by my role as the CEO of Bust Out Solutions, a company I founded in 2004 that builds web and mobile applications. The team is made up of top-notch folks that put equal horsepower behind engineering and design, which leads to really polished products.

Here’s my C.V. in a sentence: Born and raised in Oberlin, Ohio, played a ton of soccer, studied biology at Carleton College, did research at CU Boulder and Mayo Graduate School, worked as a software developer at Retek (now Oracle Retail), partied a lot, went on a PBS reality show called Colonial House (and met my wife at the viewing party), founded Bust Out Solutions, spent a few years consulting at Williams Sonoma in San Francisco, settled in Uptown, Minneapolis with Sarah, became an adjunct faculty at Hennepin Technical College where I teach web production, and was recently selected to be part of the Theoroi Project as well as the Oberlin Makes a Difference Hall of Fame. I’m continually very inspired by family, friends, and colleagues to explore more, try new things, and to always keep learning.
